New Dog

Usually, it's the same old story of, "He followed me home from school." But this time he was already home. I came in from work and opened the door to let Ranger out of the house. Ranger came leaping out and following him was this little feller army-crawling out the door. Mom had gotten me a puppy!
"Say it ain't so!"

He's a Red Heeler, and he has no name yet. We've compiled a short list of possible names. Feel free to leave any suggestions.

Kit Carson (Kit)
Poncho
Cisco
Rooster
(We knew a man named Rooster who had a similar dog named Cat.)
Ruben
Sky (I love that dog like a bird loves to fly!)
Chancho
Bongo
Boone
(Boohoo Boone)
Bucko (Hold your horses there, Bucko!)
Goose
Roco
Romulus
or Remus
Rambo
(Sounds like something a 5th grade boy would choose, but I like it!)

And I will probably be updating this list as the day goes on...

Devil Dog

When Shay and Lindsay came to pick me up to go hiking in the Wichitas, I commented on how excited Smitty was to ride in the back of the truck. Shay said that Smitty would only last about 30 miles before he'd get sick of it. 15 miles down the road, Smitty started barking at us through the cab window.

Angel Fire Ski Trip

I found out that one of the families at church was going on a ski trip to Angel Fire, NM. I invited myself along and they graciously accepted.

My dream job!

You know it's been a good vacation when you are seriously bummed out when it's over with and you have to go home!

Yea though I walk through the Valley of the Boulders...

....I shall fear Shay should anything happen to Lindsay.

Yep, she bonked her head as she was climbing.

See those two boulders in the upper left. They are called the apple and orange - I think. We were trying to get to them.
