Potpourii

Ever feel the need to post something, but you don't anything "blog worthy"? Well, I'm going to post anyway. Here are some pictures that I still have on my camera.

Monday, I rode my bike to work for the first time. After work, I went and played soccer with some of the guys and their families. There is a little girl that plays with us. She's ten years old, and very possibly the next Mia Hamm!. She's homeschooled too. Not that that has anything to do with anything, but I'm partial to homeschoolers :)

A friend of mine doing a flip.

My car stuck in my drive way.

Lindz hugging Zoe

No worries - we know from the previous picture that the bridge held.

Helicopter

These pictures were taken two years ago during my last job (like I've had so many!) when I was working for Kris as a secretary. Kris ran a radio station maintenance type business. I don't remember the exact description ( sorry, Kris). Kris was working on a radio tower north of Altus, OK in the Quartz Mountain area. He rented a helicopter to take supplies to the top of the mountain for this project. Anyway, I had no real business being up there, but Kris knows that I love all thing that have to do with flight. He gave me the very important job of photographer/filmer/list checker offer. It was a really awesome day, and I will always love Kris and Cassie just for letting me be there!

The tower on the tip-tippity-top of the mountain. (Not very pretty, is it?)

John Blue

This guy was the owner of the radio station - the helicopter is in the distance.

The pilot needed to fly back to Altus airport to fill up. I begged him to take me along. The owner came along too. He let me ride beside the pilot on the way to Altus, but I was demoted to the back seat on the way back - which was all good with me. I was just thankful to be flying in a helicopter!

This is me and the pilot at the Altus airport.

Desktop Meme

My desktop at work is usually one of the first three pics. The helicopter pic has been my desktop at home for the past two years - I've never gotten sick of it!
I think I will tag RunningMad next - they need to post something on their blog!

Oh yeah, and I think I will post the rest of my helicopter pics soon. They're kind of interesting, so stay tuned...

Cycling, except for Zoe - she's a running dog.

While we were out riding the other evening, we rode past a house that had a large, burly farmer and his little chihuahua standing in the yard. Zoe went bounding over to see the little dog. I was a little worried that Zoe might get into a scuffle with the chihuahua and the large, burly farmer might become upset with me. I didn't need to worry. That little dog went to yapping as Zoe came bounding up. Zoe hopped straight up a couple of times trying to reverse her bounding. Then Zoe headed back towards Lindz and I, but man, she really wanted to visit with that little dog! She couldn't help herself, she went bounding back towards the little dog, the little dog went to yapping, and Zoe went to hopping straight up again. Zoe repeated this cycle several times. Each time the little dog yapped with renewed confidence and each time the large, burly farmer laughed louder.

Medieval Circus

Kat and I went to the Medieval Fair in Norman.
We rode the camels!

We wanted to ride the elephant too, but the line was too long:(

Kat in a hat.

I rang the ball twice! (I think this one was for children)

Kat and a Catapult

Kat's knight in shining armor!

Medieval cell phone

Robin Hood - my personal favorite!

Medieval Brit

We threw knives. Neither of us were very good. I did get one to stick, but it was up on the secondary fence.
We did some rubbings off of old engravings.

And this is how I was feeling by the end of the day.
